The Most Memorable Coachella PerformancesBillboard News

The sun is out, flower crowns are purchased, and playlists are curated. And if you dont have a wristband, good luck! Everybody is going B-A-N-A-N-A-S for  Coachella this week and as we here at Billboard get excited for whats sure to be  an epic and memorable 2018 adventure around the polo fields,  let's reflect on some of our favorite desert performances from the past. Pharrell lit up the stage in 2014 when he was riding high on the success of Happy,  and when you are Pharrell Williams you have a lot of friends you can invite to join you.  His set included an iconic performance of Hollaback Girl with Gwen Stefani  and appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nelly and Busta Rhymes.

But he needed no help assisting the Chella crowd to see through Blurred Lines." That same year, Outkast brought love from ATL. And in 2017 I know I was ugly crying when Lady Gaga stepped in for original headliner  Beyonce -- who had to postpone her slot to this year due to her pregnancy with  those adorable twins -- and hit the stage in what could easily be described as the  biggest pop spectacle Coachella has seen. What really hit the note was when  the energetic pop star slowed things down for Edge of Glory." But there was a second epic performance last year. After Mother Monster headlined  Saturday night, Kendrick Lamar closed out the festival on Sunday with a performance  that had to make the other acts feel, well, Humble." And finally, the performance that had to be one of the most discussed sets in Coachella  history took place when they actually brought one of the most revered MCs  in history back to life.

During Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggs set in 2012, the hip hop kings debuted a hologram  of 2Pac that made headlines around the world. Check out the article on Billboard.Com to see many more all-time Coachella performance  highlights and let us know in the comments who youre looking forward to this year.  For Billboard News, Im Tetris Kelly..
