She was extremely friendly and gracious, she told Us Weekly. I had no idea she got hurt prior to meeting her. She had a wrist brace on, but I didnt think much of it until I saw the headlines after I posted our picture together. She looked great and seemed to be in great spirits.

She looked lovely even after working out on the machine, something I wish I could say for myself.. Underwood, 34, had revealed at the time of the accident that she had been hospitalized with a broken wrist. But it turns out that the fall was much more serious. Life-changing injuries: Carrie Underwood revealed in a message to fans on Sunday that she had suffered severe damage to her face requiring 40 to 50 stitches in a fall at her home in November.

She covered most of her face in this Instagram photo she shared last week. While she is on the mend, Underwood warned her fans that she is not quite looking the same as a result of the facial cuts and the stitches required to close them. She wrote to members of her fan club on Sunday: I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way. And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different..

Underwood, who is married to Canadian former professional ice hockey player Mike Fisher, continued: Its crazy how a freak random accident can change your life. Ill spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in. Wont look quite the same: The country music star, pictured before the fall, said in a message to members of her fan club: I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different. The accident happened a few days after she co-hosted and performed at the 51st Country Music Association Awards Show in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 8.

It prevented her from being able to perform as scheduled at the Country Rising benefit show in Nashville on November 12. She hasnt posted any pictures of herself that show her face to social media since the accident. But a few days ago, she did post a selfie wearing a large woolen scarf around her head and neck leaving just her eyes visible. The image was a promotion for the scarf from her CALIA by Carrie fitness and lifestyle line.

High profile: The accident happened a few days after she co-hosted the 51st Country Music Association Awards Show in Nashville, Tennessee, with Brad Paisley on November 8. Reassurance: In a tweet following her fall, Underwood thanked her fans for messages of support and saying it would take some time to recover from her injuries. Recently, Underwood and Fisher - who met backstage at one of Carries concerts in 2008 - have been spending more time with their son Isaiah, who turns three in February. The singer posted a sweet snap to Instagram Saturday of her husband and son enjoying the snowy weather in Fishers hometown of Peterborough, Ontario, in winter jackets and goggles.

The couple celebrated their seven year wedding anniversary in July..
