Were all players that come from different teams Its been good. Just stop talking, alright? Whatre you guys doing down here, shots? Are you so happy that daddys playing here now? It was all a dream! Now its real. Hockeys in Vegas. Here we go, boys! Alright.

3, 2, 1. A gunman opened fire at a crowded country
music festival on the Las Vegas strip. Its almost surreal. You all want to be united in times like this.

A knight is noble, strong, fierce, tough. Neal, shot, scores! Coming back 2-0 for our season opener is pretty special. If you werent aware, tomorrow is our home opener. [Clapping] Ah, its a big day.

First home game for our franchise, so a lot of things happening especially with the event on
the first of October, so Im sure its going to be really emotional. We were just doing the strip to show
the kids and my mother in laws in town so we went to that and found
Mandalay Bay and its so sad. All the people there crying and you pass by and see that on your left and
on the right you see the two windows that arent even replaced yet Oh my God, it was heartbreaking to see. That arena is unbelievable.

You think its nice, but when you
actually get there, its beautiful. Alright. The home openers going to be pretty special. Going to practice in the morning
to showing up at the rink and I think they have a gold carpet.

Just to see the atmosphere and the
fans and you know, play for real. Well, the relationship is just starting, its new, its fresh, but you see a lot of people excited
generally excited to have us there. Its going to be a fun year. Were going to do big things, I think
this year, so Its going to be good.

I remember calling my mom and I said, hey, dont take this the wrong way, I love
home. You know, Minnesota's obviously gonna be home, but this place just has a feeling to it it
wasnt like you just got traded to a distant place It just, it felt like you were a part of home and
thats why the last few days have been so hard." Tonight is obviously a momentous
occasion for a brand new team to play its first home game. This team will represent a unification of the city a point of healing, if you will. The importance of the team given what has
happened over the last week is extremely huge I think its brought a lot of people together.

The vibe outside is amazing, its
electric, the vibe inside: same. Everybodys waiting for that puck to drop its going to go crazy. Tonight things are different in tone and appearance. Youre going to notice that the boards
here this evening have no sponsorships just the words Vegas Strong".

And thats been the rallying
cry here over the last several days. And its a concept that has
motivated the Golden Knights as they prepare for tonights opening. Its been an emotional time for the city. You know, weve tried to go in the community and
we try to do little things to brighten the mood, but tonights about us putting some smiles on people's
faces and hopefully we can cap it off with a win.

OK, tonight we know its going to be a
tough opening ceremony, okay? Its going to be tough. Lets make sure after the ceremonys
over, were ready to go, okay? Were supportive, were ready to go. But compete and battle hard, and
lets have a great hockey game tonight and win another by two points, okay? First game at home, lets take care of business tonight. Ready to go, guys, here we go! [Cheering] Hockey team is such a great community
partner and they're bringing everything together for a common support today and thats a wonderful
thing for the city as well as for the hockey team.

I feel like Im a pretty good public

We played the right way. They got one cheap goal back, but we're battling

Golden Knights show off their jump skills in Iwakuni for Friendship Day

The US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team
dove onto Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni to show off their jumping skills and build
upon the U.S.-Japan relationship during the 41st Friendship Day. The mission of the United States Army Parachute
Team is connecting Americas Army with the public whether thats domestic audience
or an international audience. The team saw Iwakunis air show as a perfect
opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and show the community what it means to be
Army Strong. Theres a long history of relations with
the Japanese public here so its really nice to be able to come out here.

And were possibly interacting with people
that maybe have never met an American before and most likely havent seen us jumping
in before. Both days here, yesterday in the practice
and today, they both went really really well. We had everybody execute their maneuvers as
we were supposed to and we all landed back in the target area. Golden signifies the gold medals the
team has won and Knights alludes to the teams ambition to conquer the skies.

Golden Knights demo team

[Techno music playing] [gun firing] This is the Army Today. It takes hundreds of jumps and hours of training for The Golden Knights to perfect their performances. I'm Jini Ryan. We do 8-man formation free fall and we exit the aircraft at 13,500 feet.

Basically, as soon as we come out the door, the time starts and we have 50 seconds to perform as many different geometric formations as possible. Each one has its own set purpose in the skydive and basically they're all to kind of jam you up  and it's all basically about engineering and working through a problem together. I know when the guys are given the count, and as they leave, I kind of leave a split second right behind them. My job is pretty much just to sit up above the formation  and just to capture all the formations that they do.

[Steve Miller Band's "Fly Like an Eagle" playing] There are a possibility of, I think, 2 million different combinations of all the formations that we do. And so we can make thousands of jumps and still not see each of the combinations every time. The teams do at least 10 jumps a day,  perfecting their maneuvers and making sure they have pinpoint precision every time they jump out of that perfectly good airplane. [] The formations move and you can kind of feel the variable from their wind and whatever way they're moving.

So it's almost like when you used to play hot potato with your brothers or sisters and it's like something's kind of jumpy. I'm doing a lot of like, "It's a hot potato, hot potato." But it's very awesome. [] I started skydiving well before I came to the team and this is the premiere parachute team in the world,  not only for competitions but demonstrations as well. And I will say it's a very humbling and honorable experience to be here.

Golden Knights 50th Anniversary

Jumping into 50. The U.S. Army Parachute Team, The Golden Knights, is celebrating its golden anniversary. Jini Ryan takes a look at 50 years of jumping out of that perfectly good airplane.

[Ominous music playing] It really shows what Army strong is all about. All the NCOs and all the officers that work on the team work together-- --and we go out there and represent the men and women in the armed forces as well as the Army. [Tom Petty's "Learning to Fly" playing] We really try to put on the best parachute demonstration out there to represent the men and women who are stationed abroad-- --as well as in CONUS to show the American public that the military has a lot to offer. [Tom Petty's "Learning to Fly" playing] Initially, the team was started back in 1959 as a STRAC parachute team to compete against the Soviet Bloc countries-- --because they had been dominating the skydiving world and we hadn't been doing very well.

[Tom Petty's "Free Falling" playing] Three years after they were formed, the team became known as The Golden Knights-- --a name that has come to symbolize a unit that brings home the gold by conquering the skies. [Fast rock song playing] Our mission has changed a little bit, but it's stayed mostly the same-- --and some of the things that we've accomplished is the whole transition and equipment. [Band playing march] There used to be round parachutes where you didn't have very much control-- --transitioning to square ram-air canopies where you can land it almost wherever you want whenever you want. [Van Halen's "Jump" playing] The next 50 years is going to be so much different.

Parachuting concepts are going to be changing-- --and we're going to have different planes. Another 50 years--it's going to be great and hopefully I'll be around to see what the team has been-- --and talk about where I was for 8 years. So I'm really looking forward to the next 50 years and what the team has to offer the United States and foreign countries. [Van Halen's "Jump" playing] Oh, how cute! He's not cute.

He's an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper. Oh, got it.  So would you ever jump out of an airplane? Actually, I wouldn't mind jumping out of an airplane. Me?  I'm not jumping out unless I'm pushed out.

Golden Knights 4, Blackhawks 2 3 Takeaways

Golden Knights 4, Blackhawks 2: 3 Takeaways There was a bit of a wince when Chicagos John Hayden scored a shorthanded goal 3:33 into the first period. Oh no, was the thought you could feel in T-Mobile Arena. Sure, the Golden Knights hot start has been fun. But now, this was it.

Chicago Blackhawks in town, third string goalie in goal, down 1-0 less than four minutes into the game. Surely, this would be when the Golden Knights began to fall apart. The Golden Knights rode four unanswered goals and survived a late comeback attempt to stun the Blackhawks, 4-2, to improve to 7-1-0. Seven.

One. And. Thats the Golden Knights right now. Here are three immediate takeaways from tonights game.

Nobody gave the Golden Knights a chance to win tonight. NOBODY!. After all, Vegas was already 6-1-0 entering the night. How much more could this team, picked by many experts to finish in last place, continue to push its luck?.

Especially after Malcolm Subban went down to injury on Saturday and joined Marc-Andre Fleury on IR, forcing the Golden Knights to give minor leaguer Oscar Dansk his first NHL start. Against the high-flying Chicago Blackhawks, nonetheless. Surely, this would be when the Golden Knights carriage turned into a pumpkin, right?. Wrong!.

Despite every category on paper seeming to favor the Blackhawks, the Golden Knights stood firm. Not only did Vegas win 4-2, it also finished with a 33-31 shot advantage. So this wasnt like Saturday, when the Golden Knights were overwhelmed by the St. Louis Blues and squeaked out a win anyway.

This was a Vegas team missing its top two goalies going against a team with three Stanley Cups in the last seven years. And this was the Golden Knights winning anyway. At 7-1-0, Vegas continues to smash the record book for best start ever by an expansion team. Dansk did what he had to do.

Yes, a minor leaguer goalie emerging to defeat the Chicago Blackhawks in his first NHL start, while surrendering only two goals, is outstanding. But it isnt as if Chicago peppered Dansk all night. He finished with 29 saves, and survived a late Blackhawks flurry. But really, Dansk was good, but not great.

Although on a night the Golden Knights outplayed the Blackhawks was all Vegas needed from him. Dansk now has a .929 Save percentage and is 2-0-0 in his NHL career, with his wins coming against conference powers St. They often say that your best players have to be your best players if you want to have success. For Vegas, however, it was the teams role players that carried the load.

Sure, Jonathan Marchessault, who returned from IR, scored the goal that upped the Golden Knights lead to 4-1. And William Karlsson, who scored the overtime winner on Saturday against St. Louis, also had a goal. But the most dominant line for the Golden Knights was the teams fourth line of William Carrier, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Tomas Nosek.

This trio combined for two of the four goals. Nosek had a goal and an assist, and Bellemare scored the game-winning goal. Carriers assist was his first point with the team. In fact, Carriers assist gives the Golden Knights 21 players with at least one point this season, which is more than any team in the league.

On a night the Golden Knights beat a star-laden Blackhawks team, its best players were its role players. And that sure says something about the depth the Vegas has, which almost makes this shocking 7-1-0 start less unexpected than it should be..

We won a championship together this summer
in a charity tournament, so we got clothes that way. We got some shrimps, well get some

And people wonder why we have a bad
reputation, French guys, guys like him. 3...2...1...Go. It was a really weird path for me as an 18 year-old, I didnt get drafted in the NHL. I got drafted the next year as a 19 year-old in the first round.
