For Complex News, Im Frazier. Cardi Bs in album promo mode, and she made
this past Monday all about her. While hitting the major outlets to hype the
release of her debut album Invasion of Privacy, it was no surprise that everyone wanted to
talk about her being pregnant. And because shes Cardi, she was happy to
oblige.
First up on Monday was a visit to Hot 97 for
a sitdown with Ebro in the Morning. Cardi kicked things off by saying that due
to prior commitments, which no doubt included completing Invasion of Privacy, she hasnt
spent much time making plans for the baby. She also addressed anyone who was wondering
why she was choosing to have a baby now instead of waiting until after her current run as
died down. Why do I have to be in my mid-30s to
have a baby? What am I doing wrong? Im a grown woman...
Im 25 years old, and Im going to say
this in the most humble way, Im a millionaire. Im established. Considering that Cardis dropping her debut
album well into her pregnancy and her tour with Bruno Mars not set to start until September,
she should be able to take the necessary time off to be with her baby before embarking on
her commitments. Monday night, Cardi B wowed The Tonight Show
audience during her co-hosting gig with Jimmy Fallon.
She even took some time to crack on Donald
Trumps viral pic of him in a coat, saying Trump looked like she did when she was trying
to hide her baby bump. Someone get Cardi her own show ASAP. On Tuesday morning, The Breakfast Club dropped
their interview with Cardi. On it, Charlamagne asked Cardi, with everything
going on in her life right now, if shed ever considered an abortion.
Kinda, sorta, and then again its just
like, I didnt want to deal with the whole abortion thing. I just didnt want to. And its just like, Im a grown woman,
Im 25 years oldIm a shmillionaire, you know what Im saying? Im prepared for this. If Cardi wasnt ready before, shes definitely
ready now, and she has the shmoney to make things a bit easier for her.
